German native and former World Junior Mountain Running Champion Uli Steidl (Shoreline, WA) held off a stable of elite trail runners including USATF Ultra Runner of the Year Michael Wardian (Arlington, VA) to win the North Face Endurance Challenge 50 Mile race. The top woman finishing 13th overall was Caitlin Smith (Oakland, CA).Tim Monaco (Bend, OR) and Jaime Vanacore (Petaluma, CA) won the 50k race. Sam Volkman (San Francisco, CA) and Allie Bigelow (Martinez, CA) won the half marathon race. Jared Fischer (Gilbert, CA) and Jenny Wong (Oakland, CA) won the 10k race.
